1. Purchase and install your new Kuma wood stove or insert anytime after January 1st, 2021
3. 26% of the cost of the stove and installation can be claimed as a tax credit on your federal tax return.
How to claim the credit:
1. For tax software users: Claim the credit in the "Home ownership and residential energy credit" section when working on your federal taxes. For paper filers: IRS Form 5695, line 22a will be the place to claim this credit. New IRS instructions will be released in the near future.
