Save 30% when you buy a Kuma stove.
You are likely eligible for an new 30% federal tax credit for the purchase and installation of a Kuma wood stove. To be eligible for this credit, make sure you invest in a high efficiency heater like Kuma's new LE-1 line of low emission wood stoves. (Cook stoves do not qualify).
What do you need to know?
1. Purchase and install your new LE-1 Kuma wood stove or insert anytime after January 1st, 2023
2. All Kuma LE-1 Stoves will qualify for the new Sec. 25(C) tax credit. A stove must be at least 75 percent efficient per the higher heating value (HHV) of the fuel.
3. 30% of the cost of the stove, hearth, and installation can be claimed as a tax credit on your federal tax return.
How to claim the credit:
1. For tax software users: Claim the credit in the "Home ownership and residential energy credit" section when working on your federal taxes. For paper filers: IRS Form 5695, line 22a will be the place to claim this credit. New IRS instructions will be released in the near future.
2. Keep your purchase reciept and download our Tax Credit Efficiency Certificate for your records.
