Surprising heat |

Had our first fire tonight (small). We couldn't believe with just 4 sticks of wood (small) it raised the temp in our living room 3° and kept warm for about 5 hours! |

So far so good! |

Just started burning yesterday, paint cured in about three hours and now it's running like a top, no scent of the paint anymore. Was a little worried about the small firebox with the Alpine LE but for my 1200 sq ft house it seems to do the job nicely. Writing this right now its about 76 degrees in the house according to my thermostat and that's with minimal airflow on the stove. Started out this morning at about 38 degrees outside and with the stove running and inside doors open the whole house has stayed toasty. No smoke visible from chimney with cat engaged in active range, just a little bit of heat waves. Very happy so far, its great not running the gas furnace and sitting comfortably in the house in shorts and a t-shirt on a cold day. Wholesale Fireplaces of Idaho put me onto the Kuma brand and I was happy to shop an Idaho company instead of the Blaze King I was originally looking at. Much more efficient than the old 1980s Blaze King wood stove insert I had in the house as well. Also the glass has stayed totally clean since I've started burning, but it's only been two days. So far so good! |

It's only been 4 hours and we LOVE IT! Dropped our furnace thermostat to 62 degrees and it's 69 throughout the whole floor (approximately 1100 square feet). It's 30 degrees F outside - LOVE IT! |
